Collaborating with Me

I am excited to collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and faculty at other universities who share an interest in understanding how inequality is produced and reproduced through social, familial, and political dynamics. I am particularly interested in collaborating with researchers who possess, or are keen to develop, strong quantitative and computational skills and a commitment to applying them to important social questions. I also welcome collaborators who contribute contextual expertise on a specific region or community, access to unique or underused datasets, or observations of intriguing or unexpected inequality patterns that deserve deeper exploration.

You may already have a research question you would like to collaborate on, or an idea you would like to develop together — I am equally open to both. I also have a number of prospective projects “in the drawer” that I would be happy to pursue collaboratively, depending on your interests and skills.

Prospective students interested in working with me may apply to New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), which offers several pathways for undergraduate and graduate research. These include the Social Research and Public Policy (SRPP) undergraduate program, the Master’s in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and the NYU Global PhD Program, as well as potential research assistantships and visiting student arrangements. NYU Abu Dhabi is home to a vibrant community of scholars working on inequality from diverse disciplinary and methodological perspectives.

Current students at NYUAD — regardless of your major — I welcome your curiosity and initiative. Whether you would like to collaborate on a project, seek guidance in developing your own research idea, or strengthen your quantitative and computational skills, I would be happy to discuss opportunities for working together, potentially in collaboration with other faculty at NYUAD.
